Reporting

Melinda is experienced with assessment and report writing for funding bodies, including NDIS and ICWA functional capacity assessments. She is credentialled in the FIM (Functional Independence Measure).

Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) 

This comprehensive assessment looks at all areas of life, guiding recommendations for necessary supports and assistive technology needs. A detailed report is submitted to the NDIS for evidence for funding.

Equipment (Assistive Technology)

Melinda is passionate about accessibility for all. Assistive Technology helps people to participate in life to the best of their abilities. She is able to assist with assessment, prescription and training of many types of equipment including powered lounge chairs, height-adjustable beds, daily living aids, and hoists and slings.

Home Modifications 

Experienced in environmental assessment, Melinda is able to assist with home modifications including ramps, rails and daily living aids. When more complex modifications are needed such as full bathroom renovations, onward referral to a specialist home modifications OT is arranged.

Presentations

Enthusiastic about education, Melinda enjoys presenting to various groups on a range of topics including Moving and Handling techniques, equipment and clinical diagnoses. She collaborates with schools and children, teaching about neurodiversity, and addressing specific areas such as ADHD and Autism.
